Elf fan? Yes/No

What’s on your weekend agenda?

Meet Anita

I am a wife to a retired Army Captain and present day shepherd, a mother to two Big's (20 & 19) and one Little (6) and new to running at the age of 42. I am hopelessly addicted to Starbucks Peppermint Mocha's. My family thinks I am crazy. The voices in my head say they may be right.

  1. Not an Elf fan. Does that make me a bad person?
On the agenda for the weekend? Work. I work retail so this weekend is going to be crazy. I am hoping to fit in a Crossfit workout in the morning if I am not too exhausted. Thanks for sharing the link to Go. Believe. Conquer. I am also in my 40’s and brand new to running so it’s nice to read other blogs (your included) that are in the same boat as me. Gives me hope.

    • I love that you are excited to run! I started with a walk/run program back in May of this year and will soon be taking on a 30km race (March) and my first half marathon (May). Keep at it and you’ll see the results of your hard work!

Not an Elf fan? I’m not sure we can be friends 😉 Hope your weekend at work wasn’t too hectic for you.

  2. Awwww! Thank you! You are awesome. You also reminded me that I need to get my planks in for the day. Yikes!

  3. I’m glad you two connected and hopefully you two will get the chance to meet up for a run! 😀

    • Thanks for the Tweet-intro, I’m hoping I get a chance to meet up with Michelle too. It’s not often I come across a Canadian blogger that lives relatively close to me.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend :)

  4. Omg I love Elf!! I need to try that plank variation.

    • Week one of training looks tame, wait until you see week 16 where it has me logging a 30k run, Fartleks and Hill Repeats! Yikees 😮

The weekend shaped up to be pretty much perfect. Our Elf Henry showing up was a highlight. Happy Sunday :)
