That’s What This Storm Is All About

Our little Island was hit by the tremendous ice storm that has left many in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces without power. Lucky for us we made it through without the loss of power and heat when so many of our friends and family did not and some are still without today. They are being cared for by their communities and for that I am grateful.

Sometimes we often forget the beauty that comes to us after the storm has passed.

From Our Home to Yours

Wishing You All a Very Warm and Happy Holiday Season

May You Be Ever Blessed During the Coming Year

I will be back on December 26th to announce the winner of the “Why I Run” Give-Away and after I will be taking a short hiatus while the Big’s and my family are here. I will be back to blogging full-time on January 1st.

Meet Anita

I am a wife to a retired Army Captain and present day shepherd, a mother to two Big's (20 & 19) and one Little (6) and new to running at the age of 42. I am hopelessly addicted to Starbucks Peppermint Mocha's. My family thinks I am crazy. The voices in my head say they may be right.

  1. Anita, that is absolutely beautiful. I completely agree with you that we often forget the beauty around us when things are not so great. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and that you were able to spend time with your family.

    • Thank you Lauren, I grabbed that shot from my back step the morning after the storm had past. It was the perfect holiday for us and I am ready to take on January.
